Laurence Deydier
After studying communication at the Sorbonne in Paris (CELSA) and specialized in cultural journalism and art publications, Laurence Deydier has written numerous articles and portraits of artists over the last ten years. She also has singing lessons and plays the piano. In 2008, she composed the songs for the short film “Sous un coin de ciel bleu” by Arnaud Demuynck and Cecilia Marreiros Marum, and took part in the 26 minute long musical cartoon “Le Parfum de la carotte” made in 2013 by Arnaud Demuynck and Remi Durin. She made a documentary in 2011 entitled “Petites Histoires d'accordéon… diatonique” about four accordion players: Marc Perrone, Laure Chailloux, Didier Demarcq and Benjamin Macke. In 2013, she wrote the script and songs for the short film entitled “Qui j’ose aimer” that she then co-produced with Hugo Frassetto. She has been a partner in the film production company Les Films du Nord, founded by Arnaud Demuynck, since 1997.
Filmography: “Petites Histoires d’accordéon… diatonique” (documentary, 30 min, 2011), Series of short films portraying ten contemporary choreographers (10x5 min, 2008) : Thomas Lebrun, Pal Frenak, Christian Rizzo, Tiago Guedes… for the RésiDanses event, a Danse à Lille/CDC production.
Hugo Frassetto
After graduating from the Clermont-Ferrand school of Fine-Art, Hugo Frassetto continued his studies at the La Poudriere animated film school in Valence. He explored sand animation for his degree show film “Traverser”. Since then, he has made short films “La Garde-Barrière”, “Braise” and “Qui j’ose aimer” (co-produced with Laurence Deydier). In parallel, he works as an animator on other projects: “D-Day” (documentary film by Pascal Wuong) and “Vasco” (by Sebastien Laudenbach) using sand animation, the “Bingo Bongo” series using traditional animation and “Sous un coin de ciel bleu” (by Arnaud Demuynck and Cecilia Marreiros Marum) using papercut animation.
