Frits Standaert Frits Standaert graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Ghent, Belgium, in 1986 and now shares his time between directing, animating, producing and teaching. He has made many successful adverts and, after 1990, short animated films: “Jailbirds” (1990), “Wundermilch” (1991), “Kiss the Moon” (1993), “L’Écrivain” (2003), “Rumeurs” (2010). Since 2013 he has been the manager of the Eyeland Animation Studio in Ghent, which specialises in films for younger audiences, including “Counting Sheep” (2015) and “Dragon Hunt” (2015). He is head of the animation department of the RITCS School of Arts in Brussels, where he has taught animation since 2003. |
